The Importance of Telling Authentic Stories

The Immigration Advice Service approached us to help them communicate the human side of the service they deliver in a simple and engaging legal sector brand video.

Our creative sessions with the team unveiled some moving stories about their own employees as well as their clients. Many employees had previous experiences of immigration, which had inspired them to work with IAS.

 

We were able to draw on these stories to produce a heartfelt legal sector brand video which would resonate with their clients. Communicating real life stories through Rotoscopic Animation perfectly mirrored and conveyed the process that IAS supports people through, where the protagonists identity is revealed and released as a result.

We filmed and edited all films and used Mocha After Effects tracking to develop a realistic and honest sense of motion and physiognomy. Vector flat shape layers were created to develop multiple layers of texturing and effects to obtain the depth of the visual compression required.   

We also created two information videos to provide key information in a simple and engaging way.

As planned, the legal sector brand animations have been used on strategic landing pages to guide clients to the exact information they are seeking.

The long-term impact of our work was much wider however: the art direction we provided allowed IAS to revamp their branding, and find a tone of voice they could embrace.
